Hello Sunset Beach and Happy Soggy Saturday!
I'm sure everyone is on Hurricane Watch and keeping a very sharp eye on Hurricane Humberto and Tropical Depression 9 (future named storm Imelda). Governer Josh Stein has issued a State of Emergency for North Carolina, so please stay alert and follow news sources for any updates on our ever-changing weather.
This week has been very busy. The new batch of campaign signs have finally arrived! If you would like to show your support by displaying a sign in your yard, please feel free to reach out to me and I'll deliver it personally.
This week was also the first day (candidates) could submit their required Candidate Committee's 2025 Thirty-Five Day Report to the Brunswick County Board of Elections.
The Thirty-Five Day Report requires candidates spending > $1,000 on their campaign to include:
All contributions received,
All expenditures made; and,
All loans received or made
Between the dates of July 1, 2025, and September 23, 2025, as required by
N.C.G.S. § 163-278.11.
It is important to note that my campaign is 100% self-funded. When I registered to run for Sunset Beach Town Council, I certified to the NC Board of Elections that I would not accept donations from supporters for my campaign. I appreciate the offers of financial support I've received. Words cannot express how touched I am for your kindness and generosity.
It is my commitment to you to remain as transparent as possible. Therefore, I'm including a pdf copy of my campaign expenditures (Thirty-Five Day Report) between the dates listed above.
Lastly, please be on the lookout for my 2nd campaign mailer to arrive sometime between the week of September 29, 2025, and October 6, 2025. Please know how very grateful I am for your support of me and my campaign.
Stay Safe!
Sean
